International Women’s Day usually means events across all sectors promoting how AWESOME women are.. and Cysters were lucky enough to be part of this!

The Birmingham Town Hall Symphony Hall, held a weekend donation drive for Cysters, collecting menstrual products for us to distribute to Handsworth Association of Schools and various charities across the region.

Cysters are proud to be associated and supported by such a well known brand in Birmingham, who truly understand the social implications of period poverty. We hope to continue this relationship with our future projects merging reproductive health awareness within the Arts.

Cysters would also like to also give a huge shout out to Lauren Morton, a member of our Youth Board, for her tireless work around this area.

Lauren says, “The fact that there are women in this city who do not have access to period products is not only shocking, it is wrong. I’m so pleased that this collection was able to provide products to those who truly need them.”

Thank you to everyone involved!
